Beyond Race Magazine (BRM)

BRM was a quarterly independent magazine based in New York City, dedicated to groundbreaking music and culture. It featured emerging artists and covered music, film, visual art, social and political topics, and album reviews. I was commissioned to redesign the publication from cover to cover, including the masthead, feature wells, and departmental sections. As a team, we raised the standards for photography, illustration, and typography to reflect the distinctive creativity of the musicians, artists, and performers featured in the magazine.
